Our firms Original Founder Ethel (Kirlis) Abramovitz pictured above opened her first agency in the New England area called Checkmate Security & Investigations in 1970 serving auto and truck dealerships, banks, individuals, the legal profession, insurance companies, public adjusters, and etc until her death in 1984.Before her death she entered into partnership with her father Steve Kirlis in the firms of Peabody Fire & Police Protection Services and Top Notch Protective Security. With her husband  she opened Abramovitz  Emergency Services, FireBusters Inc and ADA Detective Agency in the New England Area. Since her death in 1984 and her fathers death in 1992 husband Frank (Bear) Abramovitz  has carried on his late wife and father in laws tradition till his heart attack  Now Frank works in the office and is Director of AMK . Wayne Doyle is Assistant Director of AMK and also a MA Constable and also the owner of D&A Constable Services out of MA. The agency is now beining run  by several other former and retired Law Enforcement Officers out of the New England Area .

Today the company is known as AMK Investigations & Recoveries  also known as A.M.K.I.
