Our Director of Criminal Investigations, Thomas Luongo, Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator and National Defender Investigator Association Management Level Certified Investigator has investigated hundreds of major felony cases both with Case In Point and during his twenty eight year tenure as the Chief Investigator for the Rhode Island Public Defenders Office.  He has extensive experience with homicides, sexual assaults, felony cases, personal and property crimes, drug, and death penalty cases in both State and Federal Courts. Mr. Luongo has also conducted and coordinated numerous interstate investigations with and for other Defender agencies at the State and Federal levels. Mr. Luongo has extensive experience in the review of forensic evidence and a vast network of experts available nationwide to consult with.  Mr. Luongo is a graduate of Roger Williams College and has had the opportunity to teach investigative techniques at Roger Williams University Law School. 

Senior Criminal Investigator, Francis Kelly, is a former police officer and Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator by the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council. Mr. Kelly assists Mr. Luongo in field operations and case management.  Mr. Kelly has conducted numerous felony investigations as well as homicide investigations for the Connecticut Special Public Defenders Office as well as for The Massachusetts CPCS.  Mr. Kelly holds degrees in both Paralegal studies and Criminal Justice.  Mr. Kelly was honorably discharged from the Unites States Navy In 1974.
